Parish Council Meetings<\/span><\/h1>\n

We meet every first Wednesday of the month (except August) in Kilham Hall at 6pm.  The first 30 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n

of the meeting is set aside for public participation.  Members of the public are welcome to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Wednesday 3rd June 2026 at 6pm at Kilham Hall Meeting Rooms, Kilham Hall, Kilham Lane, Branton, Doncaster, DN3 3PF.  The Agenda will be available here prior to the meeting, in readiness.  May’s Draft Minutes can be found here prior to approval<\/a> at the June meeting.  The Agenda for the June meeting will also be published on the notice boards and Facebook page.<\/p>\n

Development of Land at the Top of Brockholes Lane<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Parish Council requested to lease the above piece of land from the City of Doncaster Council to enhance it for residents enjoyment.  Work started on this project the week commencing 9th March 2026.  There is just the paving slabs to lay, benches and bin to relocate then the project will be complete.  All updates regarding the project are placed on the Parish Council Facebook page.  Alternatively you can message the Clerk – clerk@cantleywithbrantonparish.gov.uk for any updates.<\/p>\n

Yorkshire Wildlife Park Pedestrian Access<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

Following concerns raised by residents regarding the closure of pedestrian access at Brockholes Lane by the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the Parish Council wrote to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to support these concerns.  A copy of the Parish Council’s letter can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Parish Council has now received a reply from the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which is available here for information.<\/a><\/p>\n

Additionally, the Parish Council has written to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park to request that their consultative committee meetings be reinstated.  The Parish Council believes that restarting these meetings would help keep both the Council and the wider community better informed about matters relating to the Wildlife Park.<\/p>\n

Police Drop In Sessions<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

A number of Drop In sessions have been booked between September 2025 and June 2026.  The sessions alternate between daytime sessions (held at the Cafe within Branton Garden Cenre, Doncaster Road, Branton) and evening sessions (held at Kilham Hall Meeting Rooms, Kilham Hall, Branton).  Daytime sessions run between 10am and 11am and evening sessions between 6pm and 7pm.  A full list of dates can be found here<\/a> or on the Parish Council Notice Boards.<\/p>\n

MUGA – Multi Use Games Area<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

The long-awaited Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) is now open.  The snagging list is completed, and we are hopeful that this shouldn’t stop you from being able to enjoy the facility.  There is be no need for booking.  The area will be set up as follows:  The tennis courts will be set up between May and September for use, Basketball nets will be available all year round and Netball will be available upon request, by emailing the Clerk.  Please note that contractors will return in the coming months to carry out landscaping but this will not affect its availability in the meantime.<\/p>\n

Kilham Hall Car Park Update<\/strong><\/u><\/p>\n

It has been agreed that the car park will remain open for park users, however when the hall is in use it will be for the hirers use (and their guests) only.  The car park will open from 9am until 6pm each day, 7 days per week April to October and 9am to 4pm, 7 days per week November to March.  This situation will be reviewed at each parish council meeting.<\/p>\n

We ask that you please take care when manoeuvring around the car park and drive at a maximum speed of 5mph.  Users are asked to vacate the car park by the relevant closing time to allow for the gates to be locked.<\/p>\n

Kilham Hall Community Centre<\/span><\/h2>\n

Kilham Hall Community Centre on Kilham Lane in Branton opened in November 2009 and was recently refurbished in 2015 to provide a bigger hall.<\/span><\/p>\n
